AGP settings in WindowsXP?

Could anyone tell me how to change the AGP speeds in WindowsXP Home edition??? It seems to be running at 2, and I'd obviously like to run at 8 times AGP. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you first have to find out of your current video card is 8x agp rated, and likewise if you motherboard is 8x agp compatible. post your computer specs as best you can.
