Who makes the best USB Headset? I need one so I can talk to people online using things like skype or when playing games. Which is the best? Not looking to spend more then $45

IHMO you should try staying away from USB headset's, cause the software for the headset "sound chip" usually cause more problems. Besides that, if you plan to pickup an A2 or Zenith, you'll get much better sq by using the analog mic jack from it anyways.
Any particular reason you want one?

They make USB headsets? yeesh...I can't imagine those are very good...just stick with an analogue mic input...that's probably the best way to go about getting a headset.

Dan of Dansdata fame has reviewed a couple Sennheiser headsets before, with the consensus that they are...well...Sennheisers. 'nuff said.

While we're on the topic though, does anyone know of any microphones that I can clip on to my ear or by other means? One designed for those of us already with good headphones that want to add a mic.

Your best bet is to just buy a regular monaural headset (you're lucky if you can just find a microphone with a head-band) and wear it around your neck, with the microphone pushed up near your mouth (in case of headphones).
Personally, I have a Labtec monaural headset that I use with Ventrilo over my AC97 (game audio through Audigy). Other good brands are Sennheiser and Plantronics.
I've tried using a Jabra BT250 on my computer (with WICOMM's Bluetooth stack). It sounded terrible on both ends.
I use a generic $3 mic that I gotten from who knows where that clips onto my shirt.. You can probably find one at Radio shack, or some random electronics store.

Yes they do, and have made USB headsets for awhile now hehe. Try the Plantronics DSP 500, the best wired headset on the market, I love them to death. The only thing I wouldn't recommend would be Wireless headsets, Ive just heard clarity on those aren't as good as wired.
