I was wondering if there are plans to get support for Linux to use the nforce "ActiveArmor" on board firewall. It'd be nice to have some dedicated hardware to packet / frame inspection. Would this be a modification to the nvnet driver or an additional driver to interact with the kernel all together?

If there are no official plans for Nvidia to support it, could they release the specs so we can't write a driver for it? I'd love to get something going and do some benchmarks of general stateful/stateless packet inspection vs. use of the "ActiveArmor" hardware.

Probably not.

Absolutely not. And in the future, post your questions about Linux in the proper forums.
