Michael Harah says @Lehman Brothers Tech conference that the last value NV4x product will be launched next week. He is talking about the GF6200. That can only mean INQ was right and NV44 is ready to launch.

I see ATI in trouble

what's a GF6200?

Its Nvidias entry level segment product from the NV4x family.
Should be available in the sub 100$ segment with SM3.0 on board just like the mainstream and high end parts.

I'd like to see more AGP parts from both ATi and NVidia. All the system integrators I spoke to lamented an abundance of PCI express cards and too little systems sold with a decent mainstream/high end cards with in. They're still selling sh!tloads of 9550/9600/9800 and actually there's more demand than the market is able to offer.

it'll prob. do much better in DX9 than a 5200. isn't sm3.0 mostly just an extension of 2.0 and makes it faster anyways?

Well sm3 makes it easier to write complex shader programs. No program has really taken advantage of it yet so we don't really know, I mean Far Cry was compiled with sm3 but it wasn't written and designed to use it.
