Hello, I have an onboard nVidia Coperation MCP2S AC'97 Audio Controller (thats what it says when I check for audio devices) and I need a driver that would support that and work on Fedora Core 3. I've tried the Guru disc of drivers that came with the motherboard but that seemed pretty set on not letting me get the drivers from there. Thanks in advance (snow=D)

But before you go there, please click on and watch the "Posting and You" flash animation linked in my signature. Pay special attention to the part about a post being in the right forum.

Lighten up, sat. Considering this a chipset audio problem and posting in the motherboard forum is just as valid as a posting Linux driver problem in the Linux forum.

Try this http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux_nforce_1.0-0292.html
When I had problems with RHEL3 audio, these fixed me up better than the drivers bundled with my motherboard.

Thanks, that guide helped a ton! I got to the point where I am editing modprobe.conf but when I make the needed changes it says "/etc/modprobe.conf is read only (add ! to override) this might sound kind of stupid but what do I add an ! too? Thanks again
