GF/FX AGP 4X Compatibility?

Will this card run in AGP 4X slots? Sorry but I'm not getting the needed justification to upgrade to AGP8x.

Given the installed base of AGP 4X and 2X capable motherboards out there, you actually think nVIDIA would release a $500 (estimated) video card and force people to upgrade their motherboards as well?
