Maybe he'll die of starvation and save us all the trouble.

Why do we care if they die of self starvation? I say trump his strike by saying "we will not feed him nor will we even open the door to his cell untill he is dead and half decaded.

If we sedated him and hooked him to a feeding tube to keep him from starving himself, would that be considered torture or humanitarian aid?

Either way, you'd still have people complaining.

I'd like to stand on the other side of his jail door and stuff my face with food as he watches.

For people like Saddam, where there is practically no question with regard to guilt or innocence of any number of sickening acts, he should've just been shot right on the spot. A trial is such a waste of time.

There's definitely no doubt that Saddam Hussein is guilty, but at the same time, everyone deserves a fair trial. Sentencing without a trial is one of the most un-American things you could do.

Bah. Screw the trial. If he's guilty (and we all know he is) then just save the time and money.

I agree with him having a trial. A trial would show other would-be dictators that you will be brought to justice eventually.

Yeah but so would his head on a stick, trial or not. ;)

A trial for him is just a formality.

Death by macaroni and cheese. Just make him eat and eat and eat until he literally explodes. :D

I am so sick of that stuff the very smell of it makes my stomach turn.

Saddam is not AmericanNeither were the Nazis - who of course were given fair trials. The US's enemies may be assholes, but it doesn't mean we should take shortcuts in our justice system. It is, after all, one of the many things that makes the US a great country.

Saddam is NOT going into a international court. He is going into a Iraqi court. It is their laws that will be enforced.

Yeah, but we're turning him over to Iraq as opposed to simply executing him on the spot, which is what I was arguing against. Whether or not we transfer custody, what we do prior to that still reflects upon us.

Yeah, that stuff seriously grosses me out. The consistency is disgusting and so is the smell of it. Makes me wanna hurl.

And as for Saddam... I still say shoot him on the spot. I wouldn't have cared had they done that to Goering and the rest of that lot either. Just saves time and money.
