Hey guys, been a long time since i've posted here. I've got a little upgrade question and figured this is the best place to come to.

Anyway, heres my computer's specs:

AMD atholon 2700+
512mb DDR 2700 (generic) ram
Eagle (crappy brand) Geforce 4 ti 4200
Asus A78NX-E Deluxe motherboard
80gig seagate hdd
120gig seagate hdd

I work in fast food atm (uni student too) so i've got crap all cash, so i'm gonna upgrade bit by bit. I haven't been doing much on my computer lately so i'm kinda lost on what to buy and stuff like that. Right now, i'm guessing my cpu and mobo are right for a while, its more my video card and ram i'm looking to upgrade. thanks for any help.

EDIT: Oh and It's gonna be used mainly for gaming.

Another vote for the 6600GT. Newegg has a Chaintech for under $230 shipped (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduct.asp?submit=property&DEPA=1).

Happy upgrading.

Every once in a while Newegg will give out free motherboards after rebate (cheapo ones of course, but they're still motherboards). If you're going to be looking for a new motherboard down the road, browse fatwallet (http://www.fatwallet.com) and Newegg for deals every so often.
