Newegg has hl2 import for $40. Was wondering if there are any differences?.

Maybe it's not in english? It's not like an import CD where it comes with bonus tracks or a bonus disc or something. :)
I have the import version... I'll install it within the next few days and report my findings... :)

It's the same. I bought my DVD version from the UK when HL2 first came out for $50 [I also did this with Far Cry]. F*** Vivendi for thinking I'd fork over $90 for a DVD version. They can take their prima sampler guide and stick it where the sun don't shine.

Why the hell didn't they put the regular one on DVD to begin with? I mean it costs them more money to have 5 CD's than it does to have just one DVD.

FYI, i belive the import Collectors Edition of HL2 came in a tin box :x

yeah...it did. which also pisses me off. not only was the CE lame enough as it is, but the sweet tin is for imports only.
