everyone knew this was coming, but i still have mixed feelings about the trade. VC, when 100% healthy (which is rare) is still an impact player, but he also has motivation probs, ie, he plays only when he wants to. i doubt he'll ever be a Jordan, or even a Bryant. VC is a really frustrating character: he has immense ability, but seemingly lacks motivation and intestinal fortitude; soft oesn't begin to describe him.
and, even though he hasn't performed all that well, VC is still leading the all-star balloting for his position, so he's still a very popular player around the league (he must have a good PR firm). still, if he had to be traded, i'm glad he didn't go to the Knicks: i really hate Isiah Thomas, and it's good to see that he didn't get what he wanted.
