... to the NJ Nets.

everyone knew this was coming, but i still have mixed feelings about the trade. VC, when 100% healthy (which is rare) is still an impact player, but he also has motivation probs, ie, he plays only when he wants to. i doubt he'll ever be a Jordan, or even a Bryant. VC is a really frustrating character: he has immense ability, but seemingly lacks motivation and intestinal fortitude; soft oesn't begin to describe him.

and, even though he hasn't performed all that well, VC is still leading the all-star balloting for his position, so he's still a very popular player around the league (he must have a good PR firm). still, if he had to be traded, i'm glad he didn't go to the Knicks: i really hate Isiah Thomas, and it's good to see that he didn't get what he wanted.

i am just glad he left the raptors. he needs a team around him where he can flourishwince carter is a hang-nail away from ending his career. he is perhaps the most fragile player in the NBA, and i doubt he will ever be an impact player ala MJ, a guy who could take a team upon his shoulders and win championships.

vince carter is the most over-rated f*cktard in the league...

he's having his worst year ever and yet he's still one of the top vote getters AGAIN for the all-star game...

vince doesn't have an all-round game... he's never been a leader and hasn't shown anything wrt winning...

the nets will improve purely because kidd has another athlete to toss the ball to other than RJ... vince will flourish because of this

otoh I feel bad for the raptors... they took a gamble on vince and they did well for the most part...

they must be kicking themselves in getting rid of mc-grady in favor of vince but not much that can be done about that now...
