Talking about the cards that come with free doom 3? What ram do they sport?

Also what are the speeds of a 6800Ultra again? 400/1100 or 425/1100?

Also I think a 6800GT is 350/1000 right?

2.0ns memory and the clocks of the ultra are 400/1100.

the clocks of the ultra are 400/1100.

Though some companies have their Ultras clocked at 425/1100 (BFG) and 425/1200 (XFX).

The BFG GToc has 2.0 memory. But has no problem running 1100+.
The core clock on a BFG GToc is 370.

The only GT cards that come with 1.6 memory as far as I know are the Gainward Golden Sample models. And those aren't available stateside.

Ok cool I got worried that I ordered a subpar 6800GT. Thanx people.

Now the second part, do eVGA cards hit ultra speeds commonly?

First, I'm pretty sure the eVGA Ultra is 425/1100.
Second, I have a GT and I used to run at 410/1100 without any problems at all, but people had talked about OCed cards failing after 3 months or so, so I went back to stock, and honestly, I haven't noticed any difference at all.

Is this for general 6800GTs that are overclocked that fail or specifically eVGA ones that fail when running at Ultra speeds?

P.s dont mind my n00b questions but I am coming to nVidia after a long time, like my last card was nVidia Geforce 2 MX 400.

Making a decision to buy a 6800GT was more of an impulse than a thought out decision so I have to ensure that I didn't just shoot 400 smacks down the drain. Thanx for replies.

All the GTs come with a 2.0ns Memory, only the Gainward GS Goes Like Hell comes with a 1.6.

P.S. Most GTs can be overclocked to 400/1100 and you'll find some people even exceed that to 425/1150 with Air cooling.

That's correct. Only the GLH has 1.6ns and it's more expensive than ULTRAS!
The only good thing about this card is that it is available.
It's 520 here wich is about 650 US $.
SICK!

Also one more thing, how is the AA on these cards, the fx series blew chunks compared to my 9800 Pro. Hell 2xAA on my 9800 Pro looked better than an fx 5900 U using 4xAA. How are these new 6 series cards, I keep on hearing that AA is comparable but would really like to know some user reviews.

Also why are there so many beta drivers being released for nVidia cards yet no WHQL drivers. What is up with that. I guess I just can't wait to try out a 6800GT and see myself and hence getting a bit overexcited about all of this. It's like giving candy to a baby. :D

I had a x800 XT Pe and use a 6800 U now. 4x AA is the same on both. There is small differences but while playing games the end result is the same to me.
Didn't compare 2x AA tho.

This must be at 1600*1200, right? Can you tell the reason for the switch to nVidia?
