hello all:
i just got the a8v deluxe mobo along with a a64 3500 and i can say im impressed(and i havent even overclocked yet!). the setup is easily so many times faster than my old 2500 xp setup its amazing. i'd like to know what experiences you have had with this board, and any tips and advice you might share before i try to overclock it.
along with the good i've also been having some problems with games, HL2 in particular, lots of corruption that do not appear in any other game or bench i have and i'm thinking it might be a mobo/card compatibility issue. so if any have had the same things happen let me know how you solved it or not. thanks in advance and (xmassign)

i have exact same setup, including RAM and a GT. I did have loads of corruption when i had my GF4 in the same system. I found out it was a driver problem.

here is the thread

I also upgraded my VIA drivers.

Hope this helps.

i upgraded to the 71.20 drivers and im still getting weird horizontal flashing lines in water(and only water), sudden pink buildings(no joke...pink), oh and the bottom of the flashlight looks like the tv color calibration screen(i'll put up some screenies soon). im beginning to think its the game(i had a bsod while decrypting the hl2 files) since it happens nowhere else on any game instead of it being a mobo/cpu/graphics card compatibility issue. in anycase, i might try the 67.02 drivers that i had on my old barton box and see if they help. actually since you have the same board whats your bios version and how much oc'ing have you done?

(cheers)
