Don't know what it's like in other countries but in the UK I got two Leadtek GT's (consecutive as well), mainly because they were the only 6800GT's I could find in stock anywhere, ultra's not a chance.... I too wanted ultras but I'd still have a non working SLi setup if I'd waited. This is often the problem with new hardware but it's been particularly bad with this round of top end cards both X800XT PE & 6800 Ultra have been very hard if not impossible to find initially in AGP & now in PCI-E

I was also going to get a FX55 over the FX53 I had but decided to keep it and wait for FX57....... the choices don't often come down to what you want, but more what you can actually buy. I had to pre order the mobo and annoyingly the date keep slipping on that to... fortunately it arrived a week before xmas.

Hope you get yours running soon, you are going to love it (xmastong) .I couldn't be happier with it so far, I've not had a single issue with it yet, and it's run all the games I've tried to date in SLI without any graphics anomalies and 100% stability. Others have reported issues but they could be heat or component choice related, as there is a good deal of heat to remove. For instance I read in the reviews the NB sink got very hot so I redid this with AS5, (standard affair was not good), and ensured it had air directed at it from a case fan. I've got 5 case fans 2 are 92mm plus the enermax 600 watt fans. Now I just need to silence the beast with some wetness... (xmasgrin)

I would advise you to look over the Asus nForce4 SLI threads at anandtech and hardocp's forums to be sure you get the most from your motherboard because a lot of people there are talking about memory scores being dismal and we wouldn't want you to get a bad impression of A64's based on something as simple as your motherboard.

Personally, I'm going to wait for dualcore AMD chips and then go with the newer motherboard and SLI. Make it dual all the way. Dual Maxtor 300gig'ers, dual core, dual LAN, dual channel memory, dual graphics. That is, provided nVidia releases an updated GF that has the purevideo improvements in their entirety for the highend.
