View Full Version : Cooling the Bridge Chip 6600GT AGP

I am looking to water cool the GPU on this card, which is the easy part. Does anybody know what kind of cooling the bridge chip needs. All the card seem to have a large Heatsink on them.
I'm thinking of getting one of these to put under my GPU:

I was also looking at the pci fan for a long time now. I am wondering if it will make a difference since the card has that heatsync that doesn't let air in. (the xfx original one) if somebody gets it, and it works, please post some temperatures, and overclocks.
It seems that most of the instability problems that emerged are due to overheating of the bridge chip.
But I think that a new, integral cooler like those seen on MSI or Albatron cards is a better solution
