i have a strange problem with this combination:
as soon as i change a performance related option such as FSAA or such i get an noticeable dropdown (from 14xxx to 10xxx in 3dmark2001) in performance even if i just set fsaa to off. as soon as i touch an option i get that dropdown. i also tried to use profiles for applications. same problem. that kind of sucks because i would like to enable some extra candies like fsaa or af for older apps and disable them for newer apps.
is there a solution to this and if not, where can i get newer drivers? i read about 70.xx and such.

thx a lot in advance

thats odd. i just leave it on application controlled. i use the 66.93 drivers too.. no real problems. then again i only have played prince of persia warrior within and half life 2.

well i used mighty google and found some other drivers. i tried that xtreme driver v.71.20b. same problem again. even if i set an option that should actually increase performance (like setting image quality to high performance) i get a dropdown of 20-50% (depending on the app).
anyone any idea?

P.S.: i do no overclocking.

after playing around a bit, i found that forcing the refresh rates caused the problem.
and after reading this: http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=42933
i solved it by using dxdiag to override the refresh rates.

but nvidia should fix this because it is a nasty bug to go after. noone would suspect refresh rate settings for such dramatic performance issues.
