In Internet explorer I am having a problem. Everytime I click on a link that opens a new window automatically it opens the windows and remains white with the hourglass and nothing ever happens. If I create a new window through the menu and then copy the link into the window it works fine. It's just really annoying since for some pages with Javascript that open a new window you can't just copy and paste the shortcut and it just slows down surfing in general. I have Win XP SP2 Home with the latest updates installed. The problem stays even if I disable the integrated pop up blocker so I don't know what is causing it. The problem only occurs on my machine in my sig.

Get Mozilla Firefox my man! (Also, check out the tweak that makes page loading a whole lot faster.) If you think IE is better, say the words and I'll shut up.

I'd say, if your not interested in Firefox, then uninstall IE through the Add or Remove Windows Components and then install it again.
Perhaps you should try another browser just for a little while or so, to make sure tha it is definitely and IE problem.

That probably wont do anything. You can't uninstall IE per se, or at least microsoft doesn't let you do that (there are ways to remove most of IE but you can't do it all the way since parts of it are integrated into the kernel.) Uninstalling IE just removes the icons.

Yeah, but Im assuming this is more a settings problem than corrupted IE problem. Doing this should "reset" everything as it were.

I don't think so, most IE settings are global to your computer actually.
