I don't know how on earth anyone can afford an LCD monitor at all. 15 inch are too much. Let alone 30

Ive seen several 17" LCD monitors for less then $300 not much difference then a high quality CRT.
Once you get above 19" on LCD then prices really start to jump up.

Check www.nextag.com. This is where I found this 42" listed with a low price of 2199 and a high price of around 2800.

The biggest problem your gonna face is resolution. Any LCD TV this size(42") at this price range is only going to have a resolution of 852 x 480. In order to get higher res in this size of an LCD monitor, your going to have to pay alot more then $2000. Same goes for a plasma tv/monitor. Check the specs carefully before you buy something. I bought the Westinghouse because it met every need I had at a really good price. It has good native resolution at 1280x 768 and has all the input conenctions I could ever need plus is HD ready if I decide to hook it up to a outside signal other then a PC.
