View Full Version : New Look for EVGA

Didn't know exactly where this should be posted but eVGA has a new corporate identity. Check out their new website, then check out their product line. Their boxes are also different. They also seem to have all of the 6800 series in stock. Great start for the new year.

And to think.... just over a year ago they were considered junk / generic crap and now people eat them up. Not a bad turn around.

It's fine to post that here.

Yeah, and check out the winners of that SLI contest too...man I guessed way too high. :)

Damn, they won SLI setups? Lucky bastards. I like how eVGA has these monthly contests. That's how I got the copper heatsink for my Ultra :)

01-04-05, 03:34 PM
Yeah, a matched pair at that. Their contests are nice.

I think I guessed like 3.5 million or something. Damn. It would've been REAL nice to win those.

I can't say enough good things about eVGA. They have excellent cards and the step-up program is such a fantastic idea. They're a great company and I will be doing all my future video card upgrades through them.

eVGA was my first choice but at the time, only PNY had 6800 ultras in stock. I'm happy with my PNY but would have preferred the eVGA.

01-04-05, 05:25 PM
Damn! I guess my vote of 1,337,000 wasn't enough to take home the cards :)

I didn't think EVGA was that big of a hit to many people. I still think they manufacture the worst stock heatsinks for video cards though

Dam, i guessed 5 mil i think
pritty close but no cigar!

01-04-05, 09:15 PM
argh. so close. I guessed 5 million. Oh well, would have been nice.

01-05-05, 12:41 PM
Damn it I was REALLY close! I had guessed 4, 699, 325

They made the right corporate decision by sticking with nVidia products in the United States only. I would think they'd be in the red if they went red.

Too bad they aren't selling in Europe. They seem to make quality products and have good support. Not taht i am unhappy with my leadtek but competition is allways good.

Not that people care about a box, but man, the new gpu boxes look so generic compared to the old ones.

eVGA makes good cards.

I kind of like the minimalistic style of them...looks more professional and just cleaner to me. Maybe it's because I'm knocking on being 30 years old :D but the wizards with bolts of electricity flying out of every orifice in their body, poorly rendered 3D knights, Madonna-esque brassieres, unicorns, three headed dogs, etc just seem kind of goofy and campy to me at times. I like some of those though, XFX's dog is just cool.

Now if only all the other graphics cards makers could get some good designers..
Bfg has the twitch guy.. Like anybody can make any sense out of that horrendous thing.
