they'res not software to recover fdisk'ed drives. you have to send it out to a data recovery place. that tends to cost some money. just format again using fdisk, if your installing win me or lower. with xp just boot from cd and it takes care of everything. your going to have to reinstall your software.

And remember, most data recovery places charge a "fee" ($100-200) just to even see if they CAN recover it.

You can remove a partition with fdisk then if your recreate it with the exact same geometry it may be recovered.

Depends on the size of the drive. For a REALLY big drive, yeah, it can easily cost 10k.

it's pretty much just an option for businesses and databases where the info on the drive must absolutely be recovered.

Since your drive is still in perfect working order, it would only cost around 200 - 300$ to get the data back.

I suggest you use Partition Table Doctor to resolve your
problem. The software provides very useful functions:
Backup partition table, Restore partition table, Rebuild
partition table, undelete partition, Fix boot sector,
rebuild mbr,etc.

First thing I recommend you download the demo version of
Partition Table Doctor.( http://www.ptdd.com/download.htm )

Run the program and select "Rebuild Partition Table",
then choose "Interactive" mode.
