71.20 gives me shader option, 67.03 did not!?

After switching to the Xtreme G 71.20 drivers this evening to run a few tests, in HL2 now under video settings there is a shader option. 67.03 did not give me this option and after playing a few rounds of CS now I'm like wtf because I see much nicer IQ. What's the deal?

I've always had the shader options available and I'm using 67.02g. I dunno what to tell you.

The shader option has always been there, no matter which driver you use.
You must have just missed it and not noticed before.

I'm currently using 67.03 and I've got the Shader Detail option.
