Galaxy 6800GT PCIE import ; WTF?

Just received an imported Galaxy 6800GT PCIE from Hong Kong, but to my dismay was not an Arctic Cooling version. All genuine seemingly but with a stock Nvidia fan assy.. Anyone got experience of this?

Hopefully not a problem since I can get an NV5 for about £12 but annoying just the same since it'll presumably invalidate any warranty...

I went for this brand specifically because of the silent reputation of the AGP version... Anyone seen a production Galaxy 6800GT PCIE and confirm that they definately aren't arctic cooled as standard?

Checked the vendors site and it seems this is the case.. :eek: Can't imagine why not after the success of the AGP version?

Go to Galaxy's website -

6800GT = normal cooling
6800GU = Arctic
6800 Ultra = normal cooling

Thx for reference... the AGP range are all arctic cooled but the PCIE GT version isn't as you say....

Looks to me like the NV5 won't fit the PCIE GT either..., the new cooler looks different on this version of board... what do you reckon?
