tried many things to remove the stuttering and this is one of the few things that seems to do something.... my pci latency was at 248 originally for my 6800GT on my msi neo2 platinum nforce 3 board... i changed it to 64 and the long pauses were gone but sometimes there would be a bit of lag here and there.... so what do u guys set yours to?.... should i lower or increase mine? 64 isnt too great with the lag but its far beter than before.... and also does this lower performance?

As far as I've seen, most mobos default to 64. Setting to less than 64 is known to cause crackling with SB-Live cards and I've also never seen it recommended to set higher than 96. As a matter of fact, I think I read in a tweak guide somewhere that 96 seemed to be optimal for making your system seem faster and smoother, but I still leave mine at 64.

In case you were wondering, what this setting does is determine how long a busmastering device can control the bus.
