Ok, I hate MS, so i go gets myself Linux format, format HD and shuff Mandrake 8.2 on my laptop... Everything ok, cept it dusnt know my graphics card (nVidia GeForce4 GO) I have absolutly NO idea what to do... What RPM's are or anything else... Im just sitting here thinkin "uh?" Please... PLEASE can some one tell me what to do!!! Very simply :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused: :( I just want Linux to werk ... I never thought i wud say this ... Im missing Windows XP....Im using Gnome if that makes any difference

P.S. Ive read EVERYTHING i cud find on the nVidia website, and i come to the conclusion... I HAVE no idea!!! Linux seems REALLY... REALLY complicated.. U have to compile the programs or drivers?? How? cant u just download them Compiled? Argh im gonna dye... Or at worst put XP back on

download the drivers from www.nvidia.com its rpm

Obviously you have not read the readme.
http://download.nvidia.com/XFree86_40/1.0-3123/README

Read through that FIRST before doing anything else.
Download the drivers from http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?IO=linux_display_1.0-3123

Well yes I did read the readme... However it left me confused... In windows im used to just right clickin on the .ini file and clickin install... I am totally newbie... Its ok if you cant help, i'll reverse back to windows... Its a shame, but at least I gave Linux a chance to replace Microsoft, perhaps i;ll try again sometime:( :( :confused: :confused:
