Looks nice! Your not using that bracket that holds the SLI connector in place?

For comparision sakes here are my scores (slightly faster GPU, slower CPU)

I haven't installed the Bracket yet but I will. I am planning on using the eVga Step-Up Program to get the Ultra cards like you. One of my GT cards doesn't like to OC to 400/1100 and gives me artifacts :thumbdwn:

You know what is interesting is that in Doom3 and Farcry my system is around 4 FPS slower but I had a big jump in Half-Life 2 Stress test. Must be the CPU.

Damn, well make sure to post your benchies when you get your ultras, I'm curious to see what kinda difference the CPU makes, look at your Half-Life 2 score! 20fps faster than mine! Very CPU limited.

I actually got my cards on ebay back in november. but didn't get my Asus board until 12/24 and found out that one of my GT's were bad when i did the build. I had to RMA it and just got the replacement yesterday. It has been tough to wait so long but I finally got it all together. Hope you don't have to wait too much longer.

the fact that you got a got yesterday gives me some hope, that atleast means they have some cards

Nice work tret !! .. the CPU seems to have great effect on VST unlike the other games .
i guess that wont matter though since both GTs/Ultras score 100+fps .

when did you start your rma process (just would like an idea on how long it took)

I discovered that the card was bad on Friday 12/24, Called and arranged for RMA on Monday 12/27, shipped it to eVga on Tuesday 12/28, they shipped it back to me on Thursday 1/06, it was delivered to me at 5:30 PM on 1/10.

All in all a pretty painless RMA process and a minimal wait, I was expecting a lot longer based on the current availability of the PCI Express versions of the 6800 cards.

I ran some benchmarks with my 6800GT cards clocked at 400/1100 (6800 Ultra Clocks)

Doom 3
Ultra Quality
-1600x1200 4xAA/8xAF
73.5 FPS

Half-Life 2 Stress Test
-1600x1200 4xAA/16xAF
143.25 FPS

FarCry (No HDR)
Research Timedemo
-1600x1200 4xAA/8xAF
Avg= 83.71

Not huge improvements but there is about a 10fps jump for both HL2 and Far Cry and slightly smaller improvement for Doom3

Nice increase seen on 3Dmark scores running at ultra clocks

3DMark03
21,772

3DMark05
9,987

I will definately be taking advantage of the eVga Step-up program, I want these increases without having to Overclock.

Just for the hell of it I powered up my P4 Gaming rig and ran the Half-Life 2 Stress Test.

SLI Machine
See Sig

350/1000 (6800GT Clocks)
1600x1200 4xAA 16xAF
132.05 FPS

400/1100 (6800Ultra Clocks)
1600x1200 4xAA 16xAF
143.25 FPS

P4 Machine
P4 3.2Ghz Northwood
Asus P4C800-E Deluxe
1GB Corsair 3200XL 2-2-2-5-1T
Gainward 6800 Ultra Golden Sample (430/1200)

1024x768 4xAA 16xAF
130.8 FPS

1600x1200 4xAA 16xAF
88.92 FPS

The frames on the SLI Rig at 350/1000 clocks and 1600x1200 outperformed the P4 Rig at 430/1200 clocks and 1024x768. This definately makes the SLI cost to performance ratio well worth it for me as I was able to greatly increase the resolution and still have better FPS than my P4 Rig at a much lower res.

Jesus man...i get like 115fps on 1024 with 4xaa 8xaf :/...god its good to know that your getting that kind of fps in the VST...can you run some tests on CS:S with some say ingame demos or just playing it on 32 player servers on maps like aztec and share some results, like on 1280x960 and above?

I am more intrested on the min fps on chatau/aztec, these maps are a real killer on my pc, with all the water and the people i drop down alot, i hope sli will help with this problem, so if you can please just run some tests :D

Thanks :P

Just wanted to know how much did these systems cost for you guys? I would be greatly obliged if you could tell me the whole price of the system, (gfx cards, mobo, processor, ram) and list them separately here (both jakup and tret). Thanx!
