Anandtech put a little blurb about 6800 series PCIe availability towards the end of their CES 2005 Article :

NVIDIA's PCIe 6800 series will still be limited in availability for the foreseeable future, we were even told by one manufacturer that the availability problem wouldn't be resolved until the 2nd half of this year.

a BIG :thumbdwn: to that.

I got my BFG 6800GT PCIe from Chumbo for $399 the first day they were available so I had no problem. It's still $399.

they are showing 'highly allocated' right now so you may be able to squeeze one out if you're lucky.

It does still bug me that nobody seems to know why the 6800 PCIe cards are so hard to get for a decent price. The few times I tried to get any information on it I never got anything back.
