how to get on-board networkin, audio ans SATA support to work in linux
i have: Amd64 + Asus K8N-E Deluxe (nForce3 250Gb)
using gentoo linux 32-bit kernel 2.8.1

linux is installed in ATA disk and i need to access to SATA disk ...no sdaX, sdbX found
only sda is found ...tried fdisk /dev/sda --> Unable to open /dev/sda

before i used ubuntu 64-bit ..and everything worked without configuring. :)

me to.

I have a shuttle SN8564 V3 with an nForce 250 chipset and an sata HD.

When I try to install SUSE 9.2, it can't find the HD, so it can't install it.

There may not be a linux driver yet for the nvidia sata controller.

Can anyone verify that a driver is or is not availlable?

Gentoo forum had a nice thread on similar question.

If you ask there you will probably get more focused help sooner.

forums.gentoo.org

look under gentoo on AMD 64 and search forum.

Good Luck.
