Well.. you HAVE been pumping an SLI powered Athlon 64 rig.. with ultras. Maybe you just need more 0-O

Sound's like this isn't the first one you "killed"......(you did say "power-supply's" ;) ) How's the power coming into your pad? Maybe you need a line conditioner.
thats not right, do you have a surge box?

That PS should've been plenty for your system. Do you have a good UPS?

If you keep killing psu's the problem is somewhere outside the case. Highly recommend you invest in a good APC UPS like some of the others suggested. There's no way that system would take out a PCPC Psu that quickly.

I hope you can get that PS warrantied out OK because it was definitely not cheap. I agree w/Juice, APC makes a good UPS and you might want to get one. They aren't ridiculously expensive - about as much as that PS cost you. And you only need to change the battery out every 2-3 years. My BackUPS Pro 650 has served me well for almost 5 years now.

this is sorta off topic, i want to get a apc but am confused at what i need to get my rig is in my sig, my problem is i dont know how big to get and i know for a fact that what ever i get has to have a line conditioner on it since where i live we have very dirty power(think pee wee in a jenna jamison movie) so if u could point in the right direction that would be cool....

I also got one of those not long ago and it died in a glorious white flash within an hour of running:) I did not try another tho(which I should have) and went with enermax instead.
Well, right now I am just using a surge protector... As for the powersupply, I got another one on the way, I'm gonna RMA this one later and hope to sell it :( Kinda ticks me off cuz its only a few months old.
My computer just shut off during 3dmark05 and never turned on again :thumbdwn:
I don't know that much about UPS's.. but is this one any good?

Did you bleed it and then try to power it back on?
Yea, I bleed it by shorting the PSU, then powered it up and everything worked great for a few hours, then dead :(
Now that you think it's dead, have you powered off the PSU or unplugged it and then pressed the case's power button? I know it's probably the obvious for you too but just thought I'd mention it.
Yea, I took it completely out, Plugged it into a PSU tester, nothin.
It won't even power the light on the mobo any more..hehe. I got another one overnighted so it should be here tommorrow.. sucks. I'm RMA'ing this one and selling it to my buddy
Dang. Well, better luck with the next one. :)

is a UPS really necessary? I have a Belkin SurgeMaster surgeprotector, is that enough?
