Hi, I have a Geforce4 MX 420 that came with my Dell Dimension 8200 Series. I recently update the drivers for the graphics card and there are many options. It seems that this card can handle a dual display. What I want is to connect two monitors to it (that do not show the same thing). But there is only one VGA port and one S-Video port on the back of the card. I have two monitors that use VGA.
I looked at a VGA Y-Cable, and the specs said that would show the same picture on both monitors connected.
If anyone has any suggestions (besides buying a new card, im broke) i would appreciate it!
If you need more details, just ask.
Thank you!

The drivers support dual monitors, but your card doesn't.

You could go cheap and use a tv with an s-video input as the second monitor, but I would reccoment just buying a new AGP card for dual monitor duties. It will not be much more than a PCI card that would accomplish the same thing, in addition to being much easier to maintain. you have anymore questions give me a PM

so just using the splitter cable definetly wouldnt work?

That is correct.
