Sweet fancy Moses. And people wonder why most of us who post regularly in this forum dislike liberals.

Read the hatemail section. There is plenty of stupidity to go around.

Yup... just started reading the Hate Mail section and man... is this guy a freaking idiot.

"Although Wayne tries, it doesn't look like english is his first language, not that there is anything wrong with that. Wayne, In order to be a more effective communicator, I would strongly suggest that you take an adult education course at your local community college.....No wait, the Bush administration defunded community colleges......nevermind."

Don't you think it is a bad idea to make fun of a person for some errors in English... when you can't even properly capitalize the E in English, like you are SUPPOSED to do?

The funny part is they are most likely scamming their own followers. The product prolly doesn't work. AHAHAHA!!!1

The sad part is that this assumes the average liberal has no ability to A. delete FoxNews from their TV or B. they cannot just NOT watch the channel. AHAHAHAHA!!

BUT NOOO! they love to kill competition.

Only someone with a truly closed mind would ever bother with such a device.

Funny, the libs want Fox shut down...yet they parade about calling republicans closed minded.

When CNN was called the Clinton News Network I don't remember too many Reds calling on it to shut down. Typical hypocrisy from the left.

Notice the advertisement for web page filtering as well, I got a kick out of that.

That thing probably isn't going to do anything, at least not in most cable setups. Each channel on a cable system is given its own frequency within the cable spectrum, and that is going to vary depending on which channel it is. Given that most cable providers make their own unique cable lineup depending on their area (they have to re-arrange it based on how the local market is setup, which always varies) this device can only work for analog cable in one or maybe a few of the several hundred cable consumer markets across the US, unless of course they decided to make several hundred different versions of this thing.

Also keep in mind that I said analog cable and not digital cable, nor any form of satellite broadcast. Blocking that would need something quite a bit more complicated, such as having some kind of embedded computer that can parse the digital guide data and identify fox, and block its PID from going through the datastream. That gets even more complex as each cable and satellite provider has a very unique system for managing their digital tv.

EDIT: Actually nevermind I see what they are doing here, they are just selling you an old RFT (also called a notch filter or tier trap) which is set to filter a single channel from your lineup, you select the channel on checkout, and they set it for you when they ship it. These things are actually made to control which tier of service the subscribers were allowed to watch by the cable company, so e.g. they can subscribe to some cable but they don't have to pay for all of the channels. They add these into the cable hub that would be sitting just outside of your house and it filters out all of the channels you aren't supposed to be watching (and they are easy to remove too if you know how to pick a cheap padlock that you can buy at wal-mart, or sometimes there isn't a padlock, but the cable provider counts on you not knowing how to remove it.)

You can actually buy these things for $2 at a few electronics stores or on ebay. For some reason these guys are selling them for $9, and then charging you $5 for shipping where it should probably cost a dollar or two at most to ship, so they are basically charging $14 for something that should normally cost about $5. Not only do they count on their fellow liberals to be really anal about not watching fox, but they also count on them to be stupid chumps.

They also claim that they are working on a digital cable solution, but I somehow doubt they will get one (not to mention that all digital cable and satellite receivers have controls which allow you to remove given channels so it would be pointless anyways.)

They should have one to block the Kennedys and Clintons.

There's one good thing about Fox and that is Julie Banderas, she can simulate sex with me in the news van while holding a beer anyday.

The rest of Fox is rubbish, not because it is conservative, just because it is rubbish. It's the only "news" channel that interupts an interviewee with the interviewer giving answers and viewpoints themselves. It's full of dumbed down sensationalism and ignores or glosses over anything unpalatable.

In the big wide world the fox is seen as clever and cunning, no doubt FoxNews called themselves that because they at least appreciate the sense of irony ;)

Can you give examples of the rubbish?

Fox gets most of its reports the same way everyone else does, from the AP.

Anyone else think it funny that the people that are usually the first to call anyone on the right a moron, are so dim that they require a $10.00 "device" rather then their remote to block out a TV station.

I love it! You should email them with this line to help them sell it!
