was wondering if any could give some good info on this setting in the mb bio,s.
just installed a new 6800 gt on my comp and was wondering if changing the current setting from 128 to 256 would make a differance in performance.
my main game is eq2 so i want to get the best perfomance i can out of this at least till soe and nvidia fix there stutering problems.


system specs. custom comp,asus a7n8x deluxe mb,amd athlon 2500 barton core
overclocked to 2800,1024 gig pc2700 kingstone memory,leadtek 6800 gt.

sometimes a lower value is better then a high value.

With a 6800GT the max apature you should even need is 64mb. My system acctually ran faster with 64 as opposed to 256 (even tho the speed increase is very trivial and hardly noticeable). If your GT has 256mb memory (which it should) then very rarely will you even use the apature.. and if you do .. you will not need more than 64.

The best way is to try the different settings your self and benchmark them and see witch one works best for you,I know that evga recomends 256mb on the 6800 ultra's agp ,but I really can't tell any difference from 128mb where I had it.
