FreeBSD 6600 series [Archive]

Hi, does anyone know when the next expected driver release for FreeBSD since I've just bought a 6600gt and the FreeBSD drivers does not support this card.

I would also like to know this. I have just bought a 6600AGP and love the card...

But it only works in VESA mode on FREEBSD. (ia32). I don't know about amd64... that would be nice also... :)

In the meanwhile I guess I'll run LINUX. I just don't like it as much... it's harder to upgrade and keep current on the OS and the ports. (Well I'll go for GENTOO I guess.)

The upcoming NVIDIA FreeBSD driver release supports the GeForce 6600 family of graphics cards; NVIDIA hopes to release it in the near future, but I don't have an ETA.

Hi thanks for your reply. I'd like to know what is your definition of "near future" weeks,months, .... I'd also like to know if there is anyway i could be a beta tester or similar ..
