Well I have an eVGA 6600 GT OC and I am debating returning it for a 6800 Ultra and my question is which would be harder on the PSU, 2 6600 gts or the single Ultra?
I am thinking the Ultra would slaughter the 6600 gt sli setup, I can get an Ultra for $499.
You can buy a better PSU you know.

I do have an Enermax 430 psu, I have considered getting a PSU BUT again I am still wondering which will take the most power. I have an Asus A8N-SLI motherboard and an Athlon 64 3000+ running at 2.2 ghz.
Seems it is also hard to get regular 6800 gt pci express boards.
I would think the 6800 Ultra would use less power than 2 6800 GT's.
In some benchmarks I've seen that a single 6800 Ultra beats 2 6800 GT's in SLI in performance(although that might just be the drivers) so I'd recommend a 6800 Ultra if your going to spend extra money anyway.
Never mind that last thing, that were 2 6600, not 6800's. Makes quite the difference. I don't know how 2 6800 GT's would compare to a single 6800 Ultra but I bet those would win performance wise.

My main games are Farcry, Half Life 2 and probably Doom3.
I can't seem to find any 6800 gt pci express boards for reasonable money.
Will have to double check the Ultra I am looking at is actually a pci express version, after checking prices online, it seems a VERY good price for pci-express
