Download direct from here : ftp://download.nvidia.com/Windows/Quadro_Certified/70.78/70.78_winxp2k.exe (26MB)
International and setup files included.
nView is now as it used to be (not in subdir)

I'm uploading driver to server now (give it about 10 min from time of this post)
I have included the original nView installation in the subdir for those that like it.
See sig for download link.

Enjoy

Cool. I liked this set a lot when it was first released on the Dell FTP.

Driver uploaded (much more dialup friendly 14.47MB) includes nView setup files and Dell INF in seperate Directories.
nView will install automaticly via original INF as always, my modded INF won't install nView automaticly.

Enjoy, you saw it here first.

does this have yellow water(piss) in hl2?

Didn't this start with 71.22 ?, as 71.21 doesn't have it.
Remeber to get out of the pool when you need to go !! :D

It started after 71.21 the last time you asked, and guess what? Hasn't changed.

These drivers don't have the knockout IQ of 67.66 or 71.40. However they also don't have poor UT2004 performance (67.66) or yellow water (HL2). They're a good enough compromise between IQ and performance across the board.

What makes this set worth updating to? What's new, fixed, broken etc. and has anyone tried it on a G4 Ti4200? Any driver after 56.72 seems to stutter on my Ti4200 and I have to use Rivatuner's NVStap to force Geforce detection to stop the stuttering but it always comes back and I need to reboot. Using 61.77 right now because every thing runs/looks good except for when the stutter kicks in. Also TV-out doesn't show 960x600 or custom modes but 66.93 does. 66.93 has texture problems besides the stutter so that driver is really useless.

Remember guys this driver will behave identical to the Dell version I leaked a while ago.
The only differences are, there are more languages supported and the INF now support and are WHQL for nearly all Desktop GPU's.

So if something did(n't) work before it will(won't) now either.
Performance will also be identical.

Strange, I don't get yellow water with HL2 and the 67.66. Not sure about UT2k4 though.

Tried them on my Ti 4200 128MB and I didn't like them.

1) Stutter was still there.
2) Older D3D games using 16bit texture/color looked bad, everything had color banding.
3) D3D performance was a little slower than 61.77.
4) OpenGL ran Ok but seemed brighter than I've ever seen, didn't like that.
5) TV-OUT only supported standard modes; ex. 960x600 wasn't selectable. 66.93 is the only driver with fully working TV-OUT than I've seen.
6) AGP settings Tab showed buffer size of 1 and not 32 like it should.
7) Still thinks my Geforce4 Ti 4200 is a Quatro4 XGL.

All this proves once again that the "WHQL" tag is worthless for gagging driver quality.

The stutter is usually caused by having Fast Writes in enabled in your BIOS, at least it was for me.

Tried that, and every other BIOS option, makes no difference.

I must admit that the Fast Writes option dis/enables don't doing any thing with stuttering, it has even more FPS with that without!

Are these better or worse than 67.66?

Are you saying your FrameRates are higher with Fast Writes enabled on your system? If so, good for you. Each system is different for everyone.
