hi!

i've been trying the whole weekend to get my pixelview GF4 and the voodoo3 3000 working together.

- no f@*#ing way :/

its redhat 8
the newest nvidia-driver installed as SRPM

every card on it's own is working, but when i try to STARTX with the voodoo as the secondary card both monitors go black and the system freezes.

i really have _NO_ idea what could be the prob - as i said, each card on its own is working.

thx for your help

Well, you can try to let the voodoo3 work as the primary if you have the option in your bios ( first display or something)

I have run a voodoo3 agp and a geforce2 mx400 pci... I could get them to run when the voodoo3 was the primary, but i could BARELY get them to work with geforce2 as the primary... You can try posting your XFree86.0.log file... I can take a look at it...

But just a hint, the voodoo3 did some weird crap when int10 hit it during its soft init, and the screen changed all colors and the pc beeped!!! but after about 15 seconds of tones Xfree86 started...

But just post your log file and i can TRY to help :)
