Web design question!

Hello,
I was wondering if there is a way to make a template file. ( in php)

This is what i want to do
have a template file on the server.
the pages will be simple, with no menu or the header.
the page calls the template and fills the template with the information before being viewed...


if there is a way to do this! can someone show an example or give me a link.. to a tutorial....

well, thanx,
now its time to learn how it actually works....! lol
well i always wanted to do this, but i have time problem....
since i go to school and you know how this is.... right!
too much work and no time....
and for the last few months i didn't have time even to hang out with my friends...!
