View Full Version : 5700LE, unable to overclock.
Hello,
I'm new to this forum but you guys seem to know what you're talking about and I was wondering if you could help me out.
I have a GeForce 5700LE 256mb card right now but I can't seem to change the clock frequency. If you look at the screenshot I uploaded you'll see what happens. Has anyone experienced this and have a fix or an explanation as to why it won't let me?
Thanks. :afro:

Means the overclock is too high, or the core simply is already at its limits.
You can force overclocks in Rivatuner, but if it fails the tests, well, it can't run at those speeds, simply.
Thanks. But also, I did the test without changing the values at all and the test still failed..
A friend mentioned something about the card being locked in BIOS?

It fails at default clocks? That's weird. But it works fine when you select no overclocking? That's definately a weird one. Maybe a driver problem? What drivers are you running? And I don't think you can lock the card in the bios.
ForceWare 71.20 is the graphics driver i'm using.

If you have bad case cooling, it could be overheating at defaults, but I don't think it's the case since 5700le run pretty cool.
Change drivers, use WHQL. retry overclocking.
Right now I have a an akasa pci extractor fan right under the card, 2 80mms at the back and one on the side panel. I do have a 120 at the front but it's pretty noisy so I tend to leave it unplugged. I'll try some new drivers and see if that works.
Thanks everyone.
