Has anyone gotten surround gaming or dual monitor gaming running respectible on their dual PCI-E setups rather than using them for SLI?

I would assume that one could run four displays if not in SLI mode? Or is it not possible?

Thanks in advanced.

Guess no one has tried this out yet, anyone that has the setup want to give it a go?

I think current drivers don't support it.

Thanks for the links, but I wasn't asking about SLI:

I know, sorry, was in a hurry. Just posted those links because there was some discussion IIRC to your questions in those threads as well.

I can run surround gaming across 2 monitors using a single AGP 6800 Ultra.

You need to set your monitors to horizontal span. If you have half-life 2 you can fire it up and then select 16:9 and 3200x1200 resolution. Its pretty awesome, but your crosshair is divided between two screens. Its runs remarkably well too.

You can't run more than 2 monitors using an SLI setup as far as I know. I thought initially you could but I have since heard otherwise.
