Hey guys, plz post your overclocks. Especially if you have the 2800+. I want to see other peoples results. Mine is coming soon in 2 weeks or so :afro:

my overclock is currently 0. My motherboard asus k8vse deluxe has no agp or pci locks whatsoever so when i overclock, everyhting on the pci and agp bus is overclocked as well. man i should have got the dfi board :thumbdwn:

the 3000+ is gonna be the better oc'er but here's my 2800+ in my sig..vcore is set to 1.6V...under load, it goes up to 1.69...P95 and FAH stable...stepping is ada2800aep4ap caaoc 0343mpmw...

I've got my 3000+ overclocked to 2107MHz. I'm at work, so I'll have to double check when I get home.

3000+ running @ 2205 with no problems. You'll love the A64 ~ It's sooo fast!

3000+ socket754 @ 2.5GHz 1.55v

Great CPU.

754 oc'd to 2.5?

754 oc'd to 2.5?
yes thinking the same thing myself

02-01-05, 11:01 AM
Yes Marcos, 2.5GHz 250x10 socket 754 at 1.55v Zalman 7000Cu cooler 29-31c idle 44-48c full load. 37 hours Prime95, went away for a night let Prime 95 run.

I can get it to run 2.6GHz but I have to raise the voltage to 1.6-1.65v and the heat increase isn't worth it (at least not for me) 33-35c idle 48-51c full load, still good temps. 3 hours Prime95, stopped it test ran fine, temps were up 4-5c on average.

Since this computer is on 24/7 I left it at 2.5GHz, I took the temperature savings over 100MHz (shoot me!).

Take it easy, guys. :p

My 3000+ Winny is stable @ 275x9 (2.48ghz). :)

I believe rflair, but just to say, CPU-z screenies aren't worth nothing, I could get my P4 2.4c in windows and take a screenshot at 3.72 GHz on default voltage and cooling, even though it would freeze within a few tasks.

But I see no reason to mouth off at rflair.

I can let Prime95 run over night and take pics if you want.

Did the pic link properly in the post? (Fixed it)

doent work on mozilla.

754 oc'd to 2.5?

that is not uncommon....granted, i can't hit 2.5 but i think a different mobo (DFI, maybe) and 2.5 is there....

02-02-05, 08:40 AM

I let Prime95 run overnight.

02-02-05, 12:44 PM
rflair what mobo do you have? i have the asus k8vse and the lack of agp/pci locks is killing me :thumbdwn: I will never buy a via product again

02-02-05, 05:19 PM
DFI LanParty 250GB, great board.

Also had an ASUS K8N that was very good also, CPU also did 2.5GHz but was limited on RAM voltage.

02-05-05, 11:25 AM
rflair what is your HTT setting 3X or 4X ?

02-05-05, 04:20 PM
HTT is 3X with 2-3-3-10-1T at 250mhz

I tested with HTT of 4X but the best I could run the RAM was 2-3-3-10-2T at 250mhz. It yielded better performance with the 3X,1T in all system benchmarks. Plus at 3X HTT it stays closer to the standard HTT of the chip, standard HTT is 800mhz, 3X250HTT yields 750mhz HTT, 4X250HTT yields 1000mhz HTT.

Got my 2800+ stable at 2.1GHz (9x240), i can go as high as 255fsb but i would have to use command 2T on my VNF-250. Thinking about going with DFI but i have heard that EPOX will release a NF4 s754 PCIe mobo sometime this year.
