Once again Israel have screwed up and probably made the most outrageous claim to date

link (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/2510015.stm)

They now claim gunfire came from a UN owned compound, and then shot dead a UN worker who they thought was holding a gun (The first report from Israel said grenade and now they say gun).

The UN has already expressed serious concerns about the killing and accused Israel of delaying an ambulance which was trying to reach the man - possibly preventing his life being saved

Now how much more of this BS can they get away with under the guise of "war on terrorism".

Thats horrible. For that, seeing that they shot the guy, and found out that he was reaching for a cell phone after they shot him, they should have done everything they could have to save his life. Reminds me of the USS Liberty (http://ussliberty.org). Israel hasn't explained that yet. Makes me mad at how they delay those ambulances. When they can see that they've made a mistake, this is unexcusable.

EDIT: The UN guy could have just dropped everything and stopped, that would have probably saved his life. But in the heat of the moment, I bet I would do something like that and get shot. I don't like the UN, but I don't like innocent people dying for no reason. Either way, this is unexcusable.

whatever man, they don't say "war is hell" for no reason...there's always friendly fire incidents and such things like this, and the aid workers know the risks of going in there to begin with.
Plus with the Palestinians putting bombs in ambulances, I'm not surprised there was a delay, and neither should anyone else...

Forgot about the part with the bombs hidden in ambulances. Well, that is one reason that this man died. Shouldn't he have been wearing some UN insignia tho so he could be clearly identified? I don't know too much about this incident, wether it was negligence on the guy's part that got him killed or who knows what. Its just one big tragedy. Now Arab countries are gonna use this this in the UN to push their agenda. All goin' downhill from here, the best thing Israel could do is admit that they committed a mistake and cooperate fully with the investigation to get this behind them as quickly as possible. By the way Matthyahuw, with the Likud elections coming up very shortly, who do you think is a better leader? Ariel Sharone? or Benjamin Netanyahu?

The Israeli way of handling things is wrong. You dont drop bombs on a heavily crowded area just to get a couple of terrorists. The palestines use horrible ways of attacking people too but that does not justify a reaction that kills even more innocent people.

Israeli Army Kills Palestinian Boy (http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20021125/ap_on_re_mi_ea/israel_palestinians_8169)

NABLUS, West Bank (AP) - Israeli troops shot and killed an 8-year-old Palestinian boy in Nablus on Monday as hundreds of youths ignored a curfew and threw stones at soldiers on their way home from school, witnesses and hospital officials said.

The children gathered in the center of the city, hurling stones at an army jeep, witnesses said. The soldiers opened fire, killing the boy, Jihad Faqeh, hospital officials said. Seven Palestinians were wounded, including two adults who were in serious condition.

They'll never get along and will keep killing each other. I think the thing to do is built a wall between them, then have the West Bank become part of Jordan and the Gaza strip become part of Egypt.

Ariel Sharone? or Benjamin Netanyahu? Nentanyahu all the way, I've always held him in high regard. Sharone was elected to be tough, and there just has been more bombings since he got in, mainly attributed to him being who he was in the war, but that's just another reason for him to leave...
