WASHINGTON (Reuters) -- Vice President Dick Cheney raised eyebrows on Friday for wearing an olive-drab parka, hiking boots and knit ski cap to represent the United States at a solemn ceremony remembering the liberation of Auschwitz.
Other leaders at the event in Poland on Thursday marking the 60th anniversary of the death camp's liberation, such as French President Jacques Chirac and Russian President Vladimir Putin, wore dark, formal overcoats and dress shoes or boots.
Perhaps it's time to make Queer Eye for the Straight Politician.
On a more solemn note, to all those who participated in liberating Auschwitz and other Nazi camps, I salute you (salute)

I'm onto you crab people!
Good example of biased media making a story out of absolutely nothing.

True, I read this and just smirked at it. Talk about a non-story.

Have you still not figured out that very little of what CNN and Fox News post is actually written or researched by them? Both make almost exclusive use of Reuters and the AP, which are the world's two main news-gathering sources. Take a look at the quote I posted and you'll see that it's from Reuters, which means it was not written by CNN at all.

my point is, leave it to the Clinton News Network to publish a story on Cheney not being dressed correctly rather than focus on any possible positive aspect of our nation's foreign diplomacy.
They will sure praise the Mac Mini, Barbara Streisand, and gush over Clinton's new library...but man when it comes to Iraq, the price of gas, and economics I don't see too many positive articles.
Not arguing w/you, you're right, but you didn't exactly debunk my point.

BINGO! That is my point about the libs here that cry when ever I post a Fox News article or report. You have to look at the source of the article or report. It is usually in the upper left hand corner of the page. If it doesn't have a source then it is from that news organization you are reading.

CNN is certainly liberal compared to Fox News, but I don't find their news reporting to be too liberal. Especially when it is essentially just re-linking a story from a separate news source. But hey, to each his own, right?

I couldn't agree more. Talk about being picky here. This is so ... non-news. :)

Hey, John Stewart called it, a couple months ago on the Daily Show. He said this is what happens when you dont let gay people touch you.

I probably would have dressed the same way. Call me a hick but I really hate dressing formal.

I have heard a few who work for fox news say that reuters is al jazeera west. I think I heard Sean Hannity say exactly that on one of his radio broadcasts.

Yet they still use them a great deal. If they were to drop Reuters as a news source, they would be losing a huge amount of information; it would be network suicide.

No, they would just create a larger news staff. Fox News has loads of money as you know. Shoot he just made 658 some odd millions of a business deal last week. Fox would be better if they did drop Reuters.
