In a bit i can do an upgrade but dont exactly have enough money to spend on a 6800 gt/ultra SLI set up

but i can get 2 6600GTs for about 200 bucks and was wondering if this would be viable to what have now

Proposed Upgrade path:
A64 3500+
Asus A8N-SLI
Using Existing Ram
and the 2 6600 GT's

I have right now
AXP-M 2500+(2.3 ghz)
1 GB of Corsair XMS
6800GT card

im just wondering if the 2 6600s will be comparable to my 6800
since my current setup probably doesnt max out my 6800 card

just wondering what you all thought

A dual 6600GTs will be good only if you play without AA/AF (or say 0xAA,4xAF) , but if you like to crank it up to 1280x1024,4xAA,8xAF or more .. you still gonna need the 6800GT.

Stick with your current system man. I think a single 6800GT owns duel 6600GT's. Plus u can OC the hell out of your CPU if its a Barton core. I say save your money for a later time as you will not notice much (if any) real increase in performance.

I'm with sniper on this one

You would spend quite a bit of money and loose performance specially with non SLI games.

You have a nice setup, you may want to wait until SLI mobos get cheaper and SLI becomes more stable/compatible.
