This poll has been created to prove a point to some of my coworkers. Don;t flame or argue. This isnt about whose is better or who likes what. Just what CPU you happen to have currently.

Heh, this is going to be a landslide im pretty sure.

Some people use Pentium 4s here, but for most people here that are primarily gamers, Athlon XPs and Athlon 64s are deffinitely more common.

I LOVE AMD...cheap, fast, reliable. 'Sides, I always root for the underdog.

AMD is dominating in the results. There was a time when it would've been the other way around. They clearly kick ass in price/performance ATM.

well, for this specific niche, I predict AMD is going to win.. They have great products, especially for gaming.. and the AMD fanboys can really know how to lay it on now.. ;)

I'm still betting Intel will switch the tables around in the near future....

also, didn't AMD also say that they will concentrate on profit and market share, instead of all out performance in the future too?

AMD for sure!! I used to be all about pentium but stopped using them after the P3 line because AMD at this point had competitive chips for a really nice price. Still plan on using AMD on my next upgrade... 64bit when I do :D

You forgot to put an option for both. I selected AMD as the AMD64 3800+ is our main computer and the P4 3.06 is for the lesser games like The Sims 2 to run on ;)

I need to work on my overclock on the AMD also. It runs fine at 205 fsb but at 210 Prime 95 crashes after a few minutes. I probably need to mess with the memory timings but I'm too lazy and the machine runs great like it is (except for the stupid 6800GT freezes)

With no 'both' option I will go with AMD solely based on my A64s in games. :)
Although I must admit that my 3.4E is starting to show some muscle above 3.8GHz and is currently powering my PCI-E test rig.

true, i left out a both option, but that was mainly because i want my coworker to see a clear picture of things. i have both also, but mainly my amd rig is the one to use. (the intel is my wife's :) ).

and in regards to that other option.. There is no love for Cyrix... but hey, you never know.. we may get one vote :)
