I want to try them...but I love these 67.66a drivers... :-\

I actually prefer the IQ of the 71.40 drivers, but I can't use them because of the yellow water in HL2. If these drivers fix that issue, I'm going to be elated. BTW, do these drivers support all GeForce cards? I only ask because they're in the Quadro section of the FTP server.

From the readme, no 6800 support ?

It worked on my 6800GT at least, no mods needed.

Just did a quick CS:S stress test and at 1280x1024 4x/8x I got a 98ish FPS and.....

No Yellow Water!

http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=975

theres a smaller download here. (10mb as opposed to 18)

there's a second text file in the downoalded zip called "modes txt." it too lists the diplay modes availble on supported adapters and the 6800's are listed there.........

I was gonna say that that much loved and highly respected source of knowledge, to wit......guru 3d, does suggest support in these for all nvidia adapters............ i was gonna but i won't........;)

anyway they're downloaded so here goes...............

Mmmhhh...This set sucks! I guess I know why those didn't become official drivers. Higher idle temperatures, multiple monitors bug, lower score in CSS and Doom3. IQ seems to be okay though...

higher temps here too about 10 c on idlwe.

but more annoying is the black screen thing again. same as with the 67.66's and some others........i get a 5 second black screen at start up.............and then if i right click the nview icon in the tray i get a 5 sec black screen or if i right click the desktop and select my monitor........5 sec b/s .........similar b/s when i select an item in the adapter menu........... dammmmmmmmmmmmmmm

seems like it's checkin for TV-out everytime you use the nvidia menu/options.
use nvtweak, "restore" default settings. (must be that nview thingy that causing the tv-out check) it's pre-enabled via the inf file...

Im sticking with the official 67.66 drivers meant for geforce cards. Keep in mind, the release 70 driver so far has been meant for quadro class cards. Of course you can use them on a geforce usually, but they are not meant for, or optimized for geforce cards. Just my 2 cents.

Anyone know if they still see Geforce4 (AGP 4x) cards as Quatro4 XGL's?

Don't get too excited, the 71.80 is a Quadro driver........

As long as I can get SLi to work and use the NVIDIA DVD Decoder I'll be happy. I'll test these when I get home from work today.

Sounds like these drivers might not be what I wished they were though considering that they are Quadro focused drivers.
