View Full Version : 2.0 Speaks
Any recommendations on a good set of 2.0 PC speakers for my #2 machine...
I'm definately looking for strong 3d gaming and music performance. I'm using a set of Altecs from a Gateway 2000  I've had for years.....

There is a great set of 2.1 Klipsch speakers...they're about 3 years old, but still cost $150 because they are that amazing. They have some of the loudest, clearest and crispest (is that a word?) I've ever heard. I recommend these.

Good luck finding a decent pair of 2.0 speaker P man. As for 2.1's, Logitech Z-2200's and the newer Z-2300's are both great. Compusa had the 2300s for 100 bucks after rebates which is a steal. Supposedly the 2200's are a direct port from the 680's. The Klipsch are also great speakers just more expensive.

Id say the cheepist logitech or creative you can find heh.
I knew I should've Bolded and Underlined 2.0...
No room for a sub...plus the PC its going on is in the main house...and I can't have the pounding.
\Glow....the Altecs I have are far better than any cheapies....I'm looking for a high quality replacement set at a reasonable price.

These (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=36-131-003&depa=0) will bump!
Take a look at newegg's stock of 2.0's. M-Audio and Swan are both supposed to be top-notch companies.

However they are very pricey, and it brings up the issue, for a little more you could spring for 5.1 ; )

yea, honestly, I would go for something cheap.. Like head to a store and listen to a few, and pick out the relative best.
wouldn't put too much money into them, because in the end, they are really all just small speakers and cheap amps on them...
Here you go man...

Klipsch makes Promedia 2.0's, The sattelites are said to be alot better than the ones included with the Promedia 2.1,4,1,5.1/Ultra setups and that wouldnt be surprising considering the design. http://www.klipsch.com/product/product.aspx?cid=922

Glowstick you are my hero for pointing those out!
The Promedia 2.0's are exactly what I have been looking for but didn't know it! I gotta go hear these to see if their what I need. Sub's are pointless in my opinion, and these are said to have decent bass anyways. Woooo
