I realize this has probably been asked numerous times before, but I wanted to get opinions from my fellow NVNews members. I'm currently using McAfee on a P3 rig and suspect that it's causing some resource conflicts. I know McAfee is a huge memory hog and the problem I have with this PC, I only have 512MB (PC100) memory installed (the max I can go with). I wanted to find out what anti-virus you would recommend that doesn't require alot of memory/resources? I've heard that AVG is good (and free), are there any others that you would suggest?

Thanks in advance.........

AVG is definitely by far the best free antivirus program.

On terms of detection I'd say Kaspersky is the best, but it's a real system hog. Norton is probably the easiest to use for most people, but it has lots of issues on some machines. Mcafee is just junk.

AVG is probably your best bet if you must have antivirus software.

HouseCall (http://housecall.trendmicro.com/housecall/start_corp.asp) takes up 0 resources.

Until you run it off the server anyway. :p
