When I try to start X (with startx) it takes about 2-3 minutes before X starts. The screen "flipps" a little but when I'm in X the nvidia-drives seems to work.

But something must be wrong becasue of this time. I checked the XFree86 log a little and the only thing i could found that was wrong was this:

Symbol __glXActiveScreens from module /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/libdri.a is unresolved!
Symbol __glXActiveScreens from module /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/libdri.a is unresolved!

I have follwed the README from nvidia. And I dont iget a splashscreen with the nvidia logo which I have heard many others get.

There's actually already a thread open on, more or less, this subject: http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?s=&threadid=4430

It sounds very similar to you're problem so perhaps you want to watch that thread (if you aren't already), or add this post to it.

ok i have found some other with same problem... but no solution... If you want to see my conf and log, i can not find any errors in the log but you can take a look at it here:

http://217.215.158.29/nvidia/XF86Config
and
http://217.215.158.29/nvidia/XFree86.0.log

I have no idea of what is wrong so I would be very happy if someone could help me.
