Like all pc parts, we have to pay a 15% research and development tax set by our government. :rolleyes:

Bahahaha! So, your government invests in ATI and nVIDIA and all these other hardware companies now? Or do they just hire your gov't to do their research due to the incredible power of the Roos down there? G'day!:p :D

Some IT gurus were telling the government to drop the tax. So far the answer is no. :mad:

its not really the tax.....its the fine imposed on australia for letting russel crowe out:D :p
But the other side to that is Company's like ATI and nVidia get HUGE Bonuses from the Gov for having High Tech employee's. In most cases its the only way then can afford to stay open.
My grandfather for example is in the high-end audio buiz. The Gov of Quebec not only completly covers the salaries of his high tech staff but he gets even more money for just bringing these people into the country.
No better way to kill competition than to have the government step in and impose a tax. :mad:
