Currently running my Leadtek 6800nu on an NFORCE2. Was looking at buying the DFI Lanparty Nforce 3 250gb, socket 754 mb and processor. After scanning the thread at top of this board about the video freezing problem and the issue seems to be related to Nforce 3 motherboards should I get something else instead?

Well I am using a MSI K8T Neo Fisr2 socket 754 (Via K8T800) and am very happy with it. No stutters here and that is with AGP Fastwrites enabled.

I would avoid the nForce3 board you mentioned simply because it's socket 754. If you want to upgrade to an Athlon 64, you would be better served going with a socket 939 system. I had no problems with my 6800 cards in my old K8N Neo2 Platinum, and my current PCI-Express 6600 GT is running well in my nForce4 SLI board.

Yes, like Saturn states above, you should probably avoid that DFI board you are interested in simply for it being S.754. I personally have had good luck with the times of using S.939 systems, though I do not own one myself, I would recommend going with MSI K8N Neo Platinum S.939 Motherboard. It's gotten great reviews in the past, and is a rock solid board. In addition slap on a 3500+ cpu and you'd be all set :)

I have had good luck with my MSI K8N NEO Platium and the 754 socket, but if you are going to upgrade I would go with the s939 instead of a 754 socket because the s939 has a brighter future than a 754.
No problems here with nforce 3 250gb MSI Neo2. It was the first revisions (non 250gb chipsets) that sucked IIRC.
