I wouldn't pay him any never mind. Let 'em spout off his hot air - that's all he has, nothing more.

Why even go there, we have a "other card" forum ;) They just want to keep believing that now ATI has made the fastest video card, first time ever, that now they are the market leaders :o Maybe we should should all go bomb thier forum once the GeforceFX is out? on second thoughts, we arent like that here are we :D

You're right. Such an action would bring us down to "their" level. We'll just go out and do what our cards were designed to do - play games. :D

The level of maturity at the rage3d forum is seriously lacking. Its really active but not really anything of quality going on. There are a few people who really know their stuff there but they get drowned out by the jackasses. The number of useless/repeated posts there also blows my mind.

This thread is amusing.

After trolling in another thread, you expected everyone to be all peachy nice to you, especially given the large number of members there, and that you only needed to tweak one the wrong way for something like that to happen?

lol.

And some of you other guys comments are amusing as well. I've spent quite a bit of time at both boards. Rage3D has one big difference from nVnews... they have a large amount of nVidia fan trolls that like to come by there from time to time, and some of those came straight from nVnews. I don't see nearly that amount of trolling here.

I'll leave the moderator bit alone. ;)

Well, that's probably an unfair and premature statement, so I "take back" that label. I by no means read a lot of your posts there, so I don't really know what your posting style is. I did however see your response in one of Yeuemmaimai's threads. I can see how someone might hold a grudge and respond accordingly the first chance they get.

it probably has something to do with the larger amount of members at Rage3d. take a larger sample an you will invariably have more rotten apples, more junk threads, and more fanboys.

Bigus, it is true that the number of fanATIcs here at nV News has decreased since the forums were broughrt back up. but there were quite a few from before that, just many of the old fanboys have left or mellowed out.

You weren't here when the 8500 was ready to be released. The number of R3D fanboys over here was incredible - how ATI was the second coming of Christ, etc.

The actual launch of the 8500 pretty well shut 'em up around here, except for the few that still post every now and again.

But those who do post are all right in my book, though I can't speak for their actions on their "home turf" so to speak.

Or you can flip it. RageUnderground has twice as many users as here and about 1/4th to 1/3rd of Rage3D. Yet, there is not a proportional number of trouble makers as you would expect. Rage3D is just an anomaly. They have over the years accumulated these lunatics as well as their defenders. When the webmaster of the site writes an editorial defending ATI's quack cheat, then that only invites people of certain a way of thinking.

If it wasn't for these trouble makers, the activity at Rage3D forum would mirror that of RageUnderground. That is, not a whole lot of activity. Even in this forum, there are days where it is like a graveyard.

Further, Rage3D forum has a whole lot of no-shows. That is, people who register but don't do any anything. After 3.5 years of activity, Rage3D has about 81% of its 26,000+ members who have posted 20 times or less. 62% (~16,000+) have posted 5 times or less with a whopping 4100+ posting not even once. It is highly unlikely that this group of people are the ones causing the problem if they aren't posting.

It is quite evident that the large number of posts (800,000+) at Rage3D can be attributed to a smaller group of core members. Keep in mind that after 3.5 years, Rage3D can have members who were very, very active in the beginning but no longer. They maybe no shows now but their earlier activity is still counted.

If you post in the 9700 and 8500 tech prob forums I think that you will get more mature replies. It seems that in the General and Gaming forums you get many immature 19-21 year olds who like to brag about cards that they don't have and don't understand. Kinda like kids bragging about their Ricer cars even though they have no understanding about the basic principles of an internal combustion engine!

I have to side with mono on this one that yeumanchiniiii fellas seems to be one carrot short of a bushel.

I see the same thing here at these forums. I see the same at Bioware's, AMD Zones. What's your point? You people act like this is something new and strange. Really it's not, deal with it. Post useful info if you don't want to be flamebait. Just too easy to avoid problems.
