View Full Version : OpenGL initialization takes LONG time - Help

I have a problem with a Nvidia Quadro FX 4000 card from PNY.
Everytime I start an application which uses OpenGL (e.g. Maya or Blender or a C++-Program with OpenGL statments) it takes 25 to 30 seconds to initalize OpenGL (no output at this time, application "freezes").

I belive that this is a problem with some settings in the NVidia drivers, because in another sytem with an older Geforce series card I solved the same problem by changing back to older Detonator drivers (no Forceware).

This time the actuall driver version for the Quadro series is needed, so I hope anyone in here can tell me a way to solve this problem, because it is VERY annoying to wait for the card to inialize.

I tried a lot of settings in the NVidia driver panel but no result until now.

I have my system specs avaiable as a file, taken from the Futuremark system info in 3DMark05.

Tried a different set of drivers?
